А вот находка одного молодого переводчика: «Ничего бы из этого не вышло, не будь Марта Мартой , будь она кокеткой, жадиной или дурой». Свободная, очень современная интонация, для этого автора и этих героев самая верная. В подлиннике: « этому вопросу цена миллион » – оборот обычный у американцев, но мало говорящий нашему читателю. И переводчик дает наше, естественное: вот это всем вопросам вопрос ! Отличная находка другого переводчика. Роман второй половины прошлого века повествует о середине века позапрошлого: юный провинциал впервые видит большой портовый город и зрелище это brought my country heart into my mouth. В переводе ни тени кальки и не просто какое-нибудь ахнул или пришел в восторг , но, в полном согласии с характером героя, стилем, эпохой: «у меня, деревенского жителя, дух занялся от восторга ». |
| О сочинении «О единовластительстве» В небольшом сочинении «о единовластительстве» ( περ μοναρχας), т.е. о единстве Божием, автор после нескольких слов о начале языческого многобожия обличает нелепость его и подтверждает христианское учение о едином Боге, праведном судии всех людей, свидетельствами из уважаемых язычниками поэтов и писателей, как-то; Эсхила, Орфея, Софокла, Эврипида, Филемона и Менандра. Показавши ничтожество языческих богов, писатель убеждает обратиться к почитанию единого истинного Бога (I-VI гл.). Это сочинение многими учеными 1 было приписываемо св. Иустину Философу на основании свидетельства Евсевия, который говорит: «сверх того (до нас дошло) другое сочинение Иустина «о единовластительстве Божием», которое он доказывает не только из наших Писаний, но и из сочинений эллинских» (церк. ист. IV. 18. Сн. Иерон. de viris ill. с. 23. Фот. Biblioth cod. 125). Но слова Евсевия показывают, что в книге Иустина были приведены места и из св. It is these words of Apostle Paul that well describe a recent event in Chicago. On Sunday, February 10, 2013, in Chicago, a benefit concert of liturgical music took place at Holy Resurrection Cathedral of the Serbian Orthodox Church to benefit Peter Gudkov. Thirty-seven-year-old Peter Gudkov , family man, father of two daughters, singer and soloist of Sretensky Monastery Mens’ Choir of Moscow, fell gravely ill and is in need of a bone-marrow transplant, which will cost over Participating in the event were the Archbishop’s Choir of Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Chicago, IL, under the direction of Michael Gill, and the Branko Radicevic Serbian Cathedral Choir under Elizaveta Neskova. It may seem strange to speak of a benefit concert as of some sort of anomaly. Especially in our time, in the internet era, for Orthodox websites provide plenty of information on charitable works such as the building of new churches, the opening of Orthodox orphanages and hospitals, etc. Indeed, when one sees the scale of such scale, the heart is filled with hope, joy for the Church of Christ and our Fatherland, we are filled with blessed inspiration. We are becoming accustomed to common charitable events and we sometimes even turn a cold shoulder. But let our hearts not cool, let us remind ourselves that every work of love which is performed in the name of Christ is a joy and a truly great event, for at this moment of kind self-sacrifice, Christ Himself comes very close to us, as never before. If we heed the words of the Apostle to bear each other’s burdens, then Christ Himself will help us in our efforts. May the Lord bless you all! A solemn procession led by His Grace Bishop Longin and priests from several Orthodox parishes in Indiana and Illinois brought church members from St. Sava church building north to the site where the cemetery will be built. Ground was broken with gold-colored shovels, and the dirt blessed before it was placed around a cross marking the location of the first grave site. " It " s a beautiful project. It keeps us all together, " said the Rev. Marko Matic, parish priest of St. Sava, which has about 380 members. " It will be an Orthodox cemetery, allowing our parishioners to be buried with all the Orthodox customs and traditions. " Of special significance, he said, was that the ceremony took place on St. Varnava (Nastic) Day, marking the day the Gary native was consecrated a saint. " He was the first child baptized at St. Sava when it was in Gary. Today is his day, " Matic said. The Rev. Bogan Zjalic, assistant priest at St. Sava, said a committee began working on bringing an Orthodox cemetery to the site five years ago because so many parishioners requested one. Previously, many church members traveled as far as Gurnee, Ill., or New Carlisle, Ind., to bury loved ones in an Orthodox cemetery, he said. About 40 acres owned by St. Sava in the 9100 block of Mississippi Street have been earmarked for the cemetery, with another 80 acres available if needed. The new cemetery has had support from Russian, Greek, Romanian and Ukrainian Orthodox churches in Illinois and Indiana, Zjalic said. Church member Radmila Milivojevic said the cemetery is not only important for members of the Serbian church, but for all ethnicities of the Orthodox Church. Three phases are planned, with 2,100 grave sites in the first phase, church president Danica Pejnovic said. | Содержание Данные новозаветных канонических книг относительно церковного устройства сводятся к следующему. Названия «епископ», «пресвитер» и «диакон» уже известны и в этот период; но везде, где говорится об «епископах», остается место предположению, что это название равносильно другому: «пресвитер» (ср. Деян. 20:17, 28; Тит. 1:5, 7; Филип. 1: 1; 1 Тим. 3:1, 8). Пресвитериум рукополагает (1 Тим 4:14); следовательно, некоторые, носившие название пресвитеров, имеют и право хиротонии, этот существенный признак епископского сана. Но остается неизвестным, были ли в среде пресвитеров некоторые, не имевшие этого права. Таким образом, данные не позволяют нам отождествлять этих епископов-пресвитеров в целом ни с епископами, ни с пресвитерами, ни, наконец, с уверенностью утверждать, что между ними различались и те и другие. Над этими епископами-пресвитерами возвышаются некоторые отдельные лица, но мы не с состоянии решить, насколько это их положение определяется их личным значением или их чрезвычайными полномочиями, и насколько оно принадлежит их сану, их церковной степени. " ]. Если выражение Иринея не случайно и если бы оно должно было развиться в целую теорию, то смысл ее тот, что подобное смешение названий объясняется простою случайностью.
