| Отметим и другой фактор. Учение Иисуса было особенно притягательным из-за того, насколько он себя с ним идентифицировал: следование его учению было вопросом личной верности ему. Немногие устремятся к абстрактному идеалу, но все способны на любовь к личности. И великим достижением Иисуса как учителя было то, что он воплощал в себе то, чему учил. Это дало возможность ученикам отождествить нравственный закон с конкретным лидером, который вызвал у них любовь и доверие. Разгадка оригинальности и притягательности Иисуса глубоко связана с тем, кем он был, и что сделал для своих учеников. 15 Иосиф Флавий считался отступником по отношению к иудаизму, поэтому, иудейские переписчики не стремились сохранить его произведения для потомков.
