| Reconstruction in the Kremlin to surpass all the projects ever coordinated with UNESCO Moscow, August 18, 2014 Reconstruction of the monastery on the territory of the Moscow Kremlin will considerably surpass all other projects that were coordinated with UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), reported Russia’s permanent representative at the organization Eleonora Mitrofanova. Earlier president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin proposed to restore within the Moscow Kremlin two monasteries and one church that until 1930 had been situated on the site of the building 14 of the Kremlin. According to him, such a plan can be implemented only after approval by the public and by UNESCO, reports the Kommersant newspaper with the reference to RIA-Novosti . “The proposed project, which, according to the Russian president Putin, is still ‘just an idea, a proposal’, is a large-scale one and it considerably surpasses the actions that were coordinated with UNESCO before. The entire St. Petersburg metro has been closed, and the Moscow metro is taking additional security measures. President Vladimir Putin is in St. Petersburg today to meet with Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko. The president has been informed and has expressed his condolences. Authorities are considering all possible causes, including terrorism, President Putin stated. “People were bleeding, their hair was burned. We were told to move to the exit, because movement had stopped… People just fled. My girlfriend was in the next car that exploded. She said it began to shake. С первых строчек режет. Тогда я включил аудио. Аудио выдало пафос 80 lvl, и тоже легонько (но в меньшей мере, чем глаз), зацепило ухо. Я вернулся к тексту и начал всматриваться в него пристальнее. И вот что получилось. Цитата: «То, что вы увидите сейчас, – это сокровенная путинская мечта. На ее строительство он потратил 20 лет своего президентства» . Стоп! Потратил 20 лет своего президентства? Разве так говорят на великом и могучем? Да нет, так не говорят. Да и «сокровенная путинская мечта» – тоже какое-то неловкое словосочетание. Зато если прогнать этот текст через обратный перевод, получится следующая, целиком и полностью соответствующая английскому языку фраза: «What you will see now isPutin " s innermost dream. He spent 20 years of his presidency building it». Может, в оригинале, который кураторы дали Навальному было слово wildest, а не innermost, я не знаю. Но знаю, что в английском языке приведенная фраза видится вполне органично. Читаем дальше. Цитата: «Существует одно место, попав куда, можно понять о Владимире Путине все. Это самое охраняемое место в России, фактически государство в государстве, и это самый большой путинский секрет. Который оберегают сотни, даже тысячи человек – от неизвестных охранников, садовников и строителей» ... Стоп! Существует одно место? Можно понять все??? Опять же, давайте признаем, что в русском языке подобное сочетание слов не приветствуется. Если только вы не школьник, переводящий текст «Ландан из зе кэпитал оф Грэйт Британ». А вот в английской версии этот абзац выглядит так, будто (хотя почему, будто?) был написан в Лэнгли или в отделении МИ-6. Смотрим: «There is one place where you can understand everything about Vladimir Putin. He carried out his ministry in Soviet period, so he had to face many hardships, the archbishop went through arrests, trials and spent 11 years in exile. Archbishop Luka was a ruling bishop of Crimea from 1946 to 1961. He received the Stalin reward for his book on surgery in 1946. He died on June 11, 1961, on the Day of All Russian Saints. Relics of Archbishop Luka were found in 1996 and are kept in the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Simferopol. The Russian Church canonized him among new martyrs and confessors in 2000. | Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Center opens up in Paris The Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural center in Paris held its inaugural opening on Wednesday. The center, which was under construction since 2014, was built on the Branly embankment, in the historic center of the French capital. The opening was attended by Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, as well as Russia’s Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky and representatives of the Moscow Patriarchate. " The construction of this unique facility is an evident testimony to the strength of cultural and humanitarian relations between France and Russia, evidence of the mutual intention of our countries to continue a constructive dialogue, " said Russian President Vladimir Putin in a statement read by Medinsky. " The process of receiving permission for the project was not easy, but the continued support of the French government helped the completion of all of the work on schedule.
