Programul al crui preedinte de onoare este Preafericitul Patriarh Kiril, este realizat de Fondul Sfîntului Andrei Cel Întîi Chemat i de Centrul Slavei Naionale a Rusiei. La aceast edin au participat membrii Consiliului de Tutel: copreedinii Consiliului de Tutel, preedintele S.A. «RJD» V. I. Iakunin i directorul general «UGMK-Holding» А.А. Koziîn; ministrul Justiiei Federaiei Ruse A.V. Konovalov; guvernatorul regiunii Iaroslavl S.A. Vahrukov; mitropolitul Vladimir de Omsk i Tarsk; primul vicepreedinte al Comitetului Dumei de Stat a Adunrii Federale pentru Securitate Naional din cadrul Federaiei Ruse M.I. Grianikov; rectorul Institutului de Stat de Relaii Internaionale (U) A.V. Legoida i alii. Preafericitul Patriarh Kiril s-a adresat tuturor participanilor edinei Consiliului de Tutel cu un cuvânt de salutare. V.I. Iakunin a vorbit despre rolul i locul programului «Alexandru Nevski» în activitatea fondului Sfîntului Andrei Cel Întîi Chemat i a Centrului Slavei Naionale. А.А. Koziîn a prezentat situaia realizrii proiectului de construire a bisericilor în cinstea Sfîntului Cneaz Alexandru Nevski la hotarele Rusiei i a venit cu propunerea instituirii ordinului (decoraiei) Sfîntului Binecredinciosului Cneaz Alexandru Nevski, ca ordin al Bisericii Ortodoxe Ruse. Preedintele conducerii programului, adjunctul directorului general al SRL «UGMK-Holding» A.V. Rogojin a prezentat un raport despre realizrile programului «Alexandru Nevski» din anul 2010-2011 i despre proiectul lucrrilor planificate pentru anul 2012. Exhibition dedicated to New Martyr Alexander Schmorell opens in Bavaria/Православие.Ru Exhibition dedicated to New Martyr Alexander Schmorell opens in Bavaria Munich, November 28, 2013 The mobile exhibition " Alexander Schmorell—the Russian soul of " White rose " , organized by the Munich " Der Weiße Rose Stiftung e.V " foundation, has opened in the Bavarian State Library (die Bayerische Staatsbibliothek), reports the library " s website. Six exhibition stands relate the life of one of the members of the anti-fascist students " resistance group Alexander Schmorell (1917-1943), who was canonized in 2012 by the Russian Orthodox Church outside of Russia. The exhibition is timed to coincide with the forthcoming launching of a book by an author from Orenburg, Igor Khramov, The Russian Soul of the White Rose , translated into German in the Helios-Verlag publishing house. The new publication was to be launched in the evening of November 29 in one of the library " s reading halls. This year, the 70th anniversary of the execution of St. Alexander Schmorell, a student of the University of Munich and native of Orenburg, is commemorated. The director general of the Bavarian State Library Dr. Rolf Griebel, first chairwoman of the " White rose " foundation Dr. Hildegard Kronawitter and others are to speak at the book launch. Archimandrite Alexander (Pihach) reposes in the Lord      Archimandrite Alexander (Pihach), 64, unexpectedly fell asleep in the Lord on the night of October 7, 2016 while visiting the rectory of Christ the Savior Sobor in Toronto, where he was the guest of Archpriest Vasyl and Matushka Oksana Kolega. Archimandrite Alexander had faithfully served as Dean of the Orthodox Church in America’s Representation Church of Saint Catherine the Great Martyr and as OCA Representative to the Patriarchate of Moscow since his appointment by the Holy Synod of Bishops on November 30, 2012. Born Dennis Alexander Pihach in Saskatoon, SK, on June 27, 1952 and raised in an Orthodox Christian family, Archimandrite Alexander graduated from Saint Andrew’s College, Winnipeg, MB, in 1973. He continued his studies in Sociology and Slavic Studies and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, after which he was employed with Social Services. In 1986, he was ordained to the priesthood in the OCA’s Archdiocese of Canada and assigned to plant a mission in Yorkton, SK—now Saint Mark’s Church—while continuing his employment with Youth Addictions Services. He was elected Dean of the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Deanery and appointed Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Canada in 1996. Two years later, he was assigned Rector of Saint Herman of Alaska Sobor, Edmonton, AB. On July 11, 2009, he was tonsured to monastic orders and elevated to the dignity of Igumen of Saint Elias Skete, Dickie Bush, AB. On September 1 of the same year, he was appointed Interim Dean of Annunciation Cathedral, Ottawa, ON. He was elevated to the dignity of Archimandrite and returned to Saint Herman Sobor on a full time basis in May 2011. Archimandrite Alexander is survived by two brothers, Terry and Murray Pihach, and his nieces and nephews Andria, Jesse, Bryan, Chantelle, and Genna-Rae.
