| 8. О личности Аввакума (евр. Хабаккук) в Библии нет сведений. Правда, в Септуагинте сохранилась легенда о том, что Аввакум жил в эпоху плена. Но достоверность этой легенды ничтожна (см. иером. Варфоломей. Книга пророка Аввакума. Сергиев Посад, 1913, с. 26). Единственное свидетельство легенды, заслуживающее доверия, — это указание на то, что Аввакум был левитом. Книга Аввакума состоит из следующих частей: 1) Диалог с Богом: а) вопрос пророка 1, 2-4, б) предсказание о «касдим» — халдеях, 1, 5-11; в) второе вопрошание пророка, 1, 12-17. 2) Пророк на башне. Ответ Бога, 2, 1-4. 3) Обличение жестоких и надменных, 2, 5-20. 4) Гимн о Богоявлении: а) Богоявление, 3, 1-15; б) непоколебимость верующего, 3, 16-19 9. Именно халдей Набопаласар в союзе с мидийцами сокрушил Ниневию. Основной мотив книги указывает на событие, повергшее Израиль в уныние и отчаяние. Подобных событий можно назвать только два: падение Иерусалима в 587 г. и гибель Иосии в 609 г. Указание на башню в псалмах Аввакума (2, 1) и общий контекст исключают первую дату, и, таким образом, наиболее возможной остается вторая (см. М. Bic: Trois prophetes dans un temps de tenebres. Paris, 1968, р. 45). Предположение, будто Аввакум писал после 609 г., когда халдеи установили свою власть над Израилем, вряд ли обосновано. Софония раскрывает оба аспекта природы дня Господня: это время сурового наказания и благословенной надежды. Возмездие падет на Иудею за ее неспособность следовать завету. Перечисляются конкретные виды идолослужения (1:4–6), а также гражданские и религиозные руководители Иудеи (3:3–4), подлежащие суду. Особому осуждению подвергаются равнодушие (1:12–13) и гордыня (2:3) Иудеи. Не уйдут от наказания и другие народы (гл. 2); их развращение напоминает «развращение человеков», описанное в Быт. 6:5–7 . Гордыня ускоряет их гибель (2:10,15). Надежда даруется Израилю при условии, что он смирится и откажется от своей безрассудной гордыни (3:12).
